Located on a gated private gravel driveway, Cliffside Cabin is an authentic log cabin situated on a cliff overlooking the south fork of the Shenandoah River. Built in 1950, our cabin is located approximately 7 miles south of Front Royal, Virginia, also known as the “Canoe Capital of Virginia.” The cabin is three miles from the Shenandoah State Park and five miles from the northern entrance of the Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah National Park.

The breathtaking view of the river from the front porch is only enhanced by the beauty of the Massanutten Mountains in the distance. The Front Royal area is rich in history and offers many unique and varied year round recreational and leisure activities. Locally, the warmer weather invites canoeing, tubing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and golf while the cooler temperatures yield opportunities for skiing, wine tasting, antiquing, and site-seeing.
